Check the delivered model first
Read the label and compare it with the order, included accessories and the seller’s written description. FT1 and FT1 Pro are different models. Keep packaging and private purchase evidence while you establish that the delivered item is the one ordered; do not infer a manufacturing date from the delivery date.
Use ordinary listening to assess comfort
Try a short session with familiar music at a comfortable level. Check fit, pad contact, cable reach and whether the headphone suits the room you actually use. Take breaks. A specification cannot tell you whether the weight or clamp works for your head over a long session.
Confirm the source before adding an amplifier
Use a supported headphone connection and start at a low level. If sound is clean, controllable and comfortably loud, an extra DAC or amplifier is not automatically necessary. A separate unit should solve a named limitation, such as a missing port or an inconvenient volume control.
Keep observations separate from published issue reports
A SoundPath Lab product record is useful further reading, and its FT1-series issue page provides model-specific context. Neither proves that your unit has a defect. Note a visible or audible symptom without opening the headphone or playing extreme test tones to provoke one.
Prepare a concise private enquiry
Record the exact model, source, cable, channel affected, listening material and whether the symptom repeats. Send photographs only where useful and keep addresses, order numbers and the full serial number out of public discussion. Ask the seller for the appropriate next step before attempting a repair.
Confirm the Nigerian offer independently
Ask who supplied the item, what accessories were included, where service enquiries go and what the written return process requires. International reviews do not confirm a Nigerian seller’s stock or support. Keep the actual quote and receipt rather than treating a foreign price as the local transaction.
Research & owner resources
Read the original evidence and its date. Manufacturer documentation, editorial analysis and owner reports are different kinds of evidence. These references do not establish Nigerian stock, warranty or local testing.
